The Magic Editor changes a logo based on a written instruction. You describe the change and it applies it. There are no brush, pen or shape tools. Editing is entirely text-based.
Base and Pro, and the four output levels
Every edit runs on either the Base or the Pro engine, at one of four output levels. Higher levels cost more credits and take longer.
| Fast | Standard | 2K | 4K |
Base | 4 credits | 5 credits | 14 credits | 20 credits |
Pro | 6 credits | 9 credits | 18 credits | 34 credits |
Base Standard is a good starting point for most edits. Move to Pro when the logo has fine detail that Base is losing, and to 2K or 4K only when you need the resolution.
How long each takes: Base 10 to 40 seconds, Pro 50 to 80 seconds, 4K 80 to 150 seconds.
The eight Elements
Elements are prepared workflows inside the Magic Editor. Instead of writing an instruction, you pick one.
Element | What it does |
Logo to Merch Set | Puts your logo across a set of merchandise items |
Preserve Style | Makes a change while holding the existing look intact |
Brand Presentation | Builds a presentation layout around your logo |
Logo System | Turns one logo into a wordmark, lettermark, emblem, symbol and the original |
Logo to Icon Set | Produces a matching set of icons from your logo |
Logo Minimizer | Simplifies the logo so it stays readable at small sizes |
2D Logo to 3D | Renders your logo with depth and lighting |
Text Extractor | Pulls the text out of a logo image |
2D Logo to 3D produces an image, not a 3D model file. It is a render of what your logo would look like in three dimensions. There is no 3D file to download.
The Logo Styles gallery
Separately from Elements, the Magic Editor has a gallery of over 100 ready-made effects. Pick one and it applies that look to your logo, with no instruction to write. The gallery grows most weeks.
Style Transfer is a different tool
Style Transfer takes your logo plus a separate style image and re-renders your logo in that style, keeping its shape. It costs 18 credits and lives outside the Magic Editor. The effects gallery inside the Magic Editor uses prepared looks rather than an image you supply.
